Website: www.scarpawine.com
Scarpa is a historic winery in Nizza Monferrato that produces Barbera, Barolo, Barbaresco and other great Piedmontese wines, showcasing native varieties with an elegant, sustainable style built for longevity.
Established in the early 1900s and relaunched in 1949 by Mario Pesce, Scarpa is now a point of reference in the Monferrato region. At the historic headquarters in Nizza, the wine vault preserves more than 70 vintages, telling the story of wine across time. Scarpa vinifies a wide range of Piedmontese varieties with a particular focus on sustainability and ageing potential. From the vineyards of Poderi Bricchi, between Castel Rocchero and Acqui Terme, come iconic labels such as Barbera d’Asti Superiore La Bogliona, Rouchet, Freisa and dry Brachetto; in the Langhe region, Barolo from Monvigliero and La Morra, Barbaresco in Neive, as well as refined interpretations of Verduno Pelaverga and Timorasso. In addition to the historic premises in Nizza Monferrato, the Scarpa group also welcomes guests in the village of Verduno, in the Langhe, at Scarpa Villas: an elegant residence among the vineyards, designed for charming stays and authentic relaxation surrounded by stunning landscapes.
