Wineries to visit

Marchesi Di Barolo

Marchesi di Barolo is the most historical producer of Barolo, located in the village of the same name, where excellent wines representing the great DOCGs of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato have been crafted since the early 19th century.

In the heart of the village of Barolo, the Marchesi di Barolo winery is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Piedmont. Established over two hundred years ago by the Falletti Marquises, it is a symbolic place, the place where Nebbiolo reached its highest expression, leading to the birth of Barolo.
Set in an extraordinary landscape, the estate cultivates vineyards in privileged positions, on clay and limestone soils, ideal for expressing the grape’s complexity and elegance. Six generations of the Abbona family have led the winery with a vision that combines craftsmanship, innovation and respect for the land. Every cru is vinified separately to highlight its unique identity. The historic cellars have been carefully restored and are now a place of culture and hospitality, home to the famous Cinque Botti della Marchesa (Five Barrels of the Marchesa) and a valuable collection of historic vintages of Barolo.
