At this historic winery in La Morra in the Langhe, the Cordero di Montezemolo family preserves the legacy of one of Barolo’s oldest noble lineages, which has been producing outstanding wines in the shade of the iconic Cedar of Lebanon for 19 generations. Today, the estate is a model of sustainable viticulture and refined winemaking.
The Monfalletto Estate is located in La Morra, the heart of the Barolo vineyards, on the UNESCO World Heritage hills. Thirty hectares of certified organic vineyards, cultivated with respect for biodiversity and the character of each individual cru. Since 1340, the family, now led by Giovanni Cordero di Montezemolo together with his children Elena and Alberto, has carried forward a vision in which tradition, innovation and hospitality merge together between the rows of vines. This is a place where time is measured by the view across historic vineyards and horizons that speak of wine.

WHAT MAKES THE EXPERIENCE UNIQUE
A guided tour of the historic cellars reveals the family’s story, the production process, the fermentation and ageing areas where the great wines rest before bottling. The experience ends with a tasting, either in the elegant tasting room or on the panoramic terrace overlooking Monfalletto’s natural amphitheatre of vineyards. Those who wish to stay overnight can take advantage of the elegant apartments next to the Estate, in the shade of the Cedar of Lebanon.
