Il Cortile di San Michele is a tranquil haven surrounded by 18th century buildings that seem almost to embrace it. The fine restoration work carried out by the Manera family has succeeded in combining elegance and functionality, with the ideal balance between period furnishings and traditional materials, from terracotta to wrought iron, and modern, high-tech solutions. The atmosphere that fills the six spacious rooms, decorated in soft colours, with parquet floors, ceilings with exposed wooden beams and plasterwork adorned with bas-reliefs, is both warm and evocative. The breakfast, prepared with local products, is an ode to goodness and the authenticity of the local territory.
Bright and generous rooms, a lounge with open fireplace and reading corner, and fresh flowers... every detail reflects the care and refined taste of Nadia, who takes great pride in welcoming her guests. The terrace that links the two buildings of the B&B is a real oasis, a place to relax and unwind, enjoying the swimming pool with jacuzzi and sunbathing area.
At one time, every home in the Roero had its very own “crutin”, a small cellar dug into the earth where people stored their finest bottles of wine, and Il Cortile di San Michele is no exception. What makes it special is that it has now been transformed into a space for holding wine tastings and exclusive aperitifs.
