In Calamandrana, in the unspoilt green Monferrato hills, the Adagio restaurant welcomes lovers of local excellence, serving food reinterpreted in a modern key.

Located in Calamandrana, halfway between Canelli and Nizza Monferrato, the Adagio restaurant, inside the Relais Almaranto, welcomes guests in a refined and elegant setting, carved out of a late 18th century Italian farmhouse. The menu celebrates traditional Piedmontese cuisine, with some creative reinterpretations, paired with a wide range of local and international wines. The dishes, made with fresh, high quality produce, also cater for guests who require vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free food. The most popular proposals include: tajarin ai 30 tuorli (pasta made with 30 egg yolks to each kilo of flour), served with beetroot, Bra sausage and cheese, potato and pumpkin gnocchi, beef tagliata with red wine vinegar caramel and, for a sweet end to your meal, 5 varieties of hazelnut. Homemade bread, grissini and focaccia enrich every dish, put together perfectly by Chef Mario Maniscalco.

The pleasure of lunch or dinner at the Adagio restaurant is completed by the presence of the Sky Garden, a corner set in nature that offers a unique experience. Next to the main dining room, an elegant banquet hall offers the ideal space for events and ceremonies. The cosy atmosphere of the restaurant is the perfect setting for guided tastings of carefully selected wines, including an innovative selection of alcohol-free wines. For those wishing to prolong the relaxation, the rooms and suites of Relais Almaranto are available for a regenerating stay.
