Osteria dell'Unione in Treiso, in the heart of the Barbaresco area of the Langa, is characterised by a family atmosphere and the aromas and flavours of the restaurant are those of the traditional food made by Piedmontese grandmothers.
Surrounded by the rolling hills of Barbaresco, the Osteria dell'Unione di Treiso is a restaurant with a rustic and charming atmosphere, with brick vaulted ceilings and traditional furnishings. Wooden tables and alcoves filled with selected bottles evoke the reassuring atmosphere of the houses of days gone by. The quality of the dishes, which are strictly traditional, can rely on the experience of a family now in its third generation. In summer, the charming pergola, under the vine, offers a pleasant atmosphere and an unmistakable fragrance.
It was in this very place, frequented by Carlo Carlin Petrini, that the Slow Food movement was launched in the early 1980s.
