An old farmhouse, once home to the rural nobility, has been carefully and creatively restored to become Locanda Dei Vagabondi in Corneliano, in the Roero region. The welcoming atmosphere felt upon entering makes for a pleasant dining experience in a place that preserves the rustic charm of old-style taverns: terracotta floors, exposed brick walls, and wooden furnishings. A cozy room with a fireplace warms winter evenings, while in summer, the charming porch in the flower-filled courtyard is the perfect setting for cheerful dinners with friends.
A rich menu featuring three appetizers, two first courses, one main course, and one dessert is masterfully prepared, following traditional Piedmontese recipes and using fresh, local ingredients. Generous portions are served directly from the pan to the plate, paired with a fine selection of local wines.
