The restaurant with rooms, Madonna Della Neve, is located in the open countryside, in Cessole, in the Langa Astigiana hills, where it serves cuisine with authentic flavours.
The Cirio family has been managing the restaurant since 1952, with the motto “tradition and craftsmanship”. Situated in a panoramic position, it overlooks the Val Bormida alongside the little church of the “Madonna della Neve”, offering visitors a privileged view of a sea of gently rolling hills. The area offers countless mouth-watering opportunities, which the Cirio family has always been able to seize by cultivating vegetable gardens, orchards and vineyards, but also by sourcing products from nearby farms, such as the Nizza Monferrato “cardo gobbo” (hunchback cardoon), the Nocciola Piemonte IGP delle Langhe (Piedmont Hazelnut) and Roccaverano D.O.P. Robiola cheese.
The predominant notes in the kitchen are the authenticity of the dishes and the seasonality of the raw materials. The signature dish is agnolotti del plin alla “curdunà” (served in a napkin). The elegant yet informal restaurant has a remarkable wine cellar, which holds around 500 labels of Piedmontese and Italian wines.
