Cannon d’Oro is a restaurant with rooms in Cocconato d’Asti, in the Monferrato, where guests can enjoy Piedmont’s traditional dishes.
Cannon d’Oro was opened in 1876 and soon became popular for its traditional cuisine. In the early 20th century, Prince Umberto of Savoy was an habitué. The same attention to detail which was paramount then still features in today’s restaurant along with the original furniture. The Tortia family take care of their guests with traditional dishes paired with the best local wines. The house specialties, such as fritto misto, bagna cauda and bollito are served in the lovely courtyard in spring and summer.
Cannon d’Oro also offers comfortable rooms, studios and and two-room apartments.
Driving a mile from the restaurant, one gets to the guesthouse Vecchio Castagno, a countryside house with a park, swimming pool and apartments. The two huge halls can each accommodate up to 250 people, which makes Vecchio Castagno ideal for events and weddings. Each hall has a dedicated entrance and car park.
Traditional dishes served in a sophisticated atmosphere which have won over the most demanding guests since the late 19th century.
