La Crota is a restaurant with five comfortable rooms located in Roddi, half way between Alba and Barolo, ideal for those who seek traditional dishes paired with the very best wines from the Unesco World Heritage Vineyard Landscapes.
Since 1983, La Crota has been seeking outstanding quality. Captivating chef Danilo Lorusso personally sources the very best raw materials, most importantly Alba’s White Truffles, to create dishes which combine tradition with innovation: appetising starters, handmade pasta prepared following the teachings of grandmother Gina, flavourful meat dishes and memorable desserts.
The restaurant downstairs cellar, i.e. “crota” in the local dialect, is ideal for tastings, romantic dinners and private events. The restaurant was named after the wide selection of bottles available for refined food and wine pairings. The great room with a log fireplace and the brickwork room are large enough to accommodate groups and family gatherings.
It is also possible to join cooking classes led by chef Danilo and extend the experience with a stay in one of the 5 comfortable rooms, with access to the swimming pool reserved exclusively for overnight guests.
La Crota offers the memorable experience of traditional cuisine in a cosy atmosphere.
