Alba is proud to host the three Michelin-stars restaurant Piazza Duomo on its main square.
After working in France and Japan, three Michelin-star chef Enrico Crippa landed in Alba with the Ceretto family, renowned winemakers in the area, to express his talent. The restaurant is in a 17th century building overlooking the cathedral. The spacious pink room, whose modern vault is frescoed with scenes inspired by the local landscapes, accommodates only a few, but elegant tables. Multi-award winning sommelier and maitre d’ Vincenzo Donatello takes care of the impeccable service.
Piazza Duomo’s cuisine is rooted in the land, where most raw materials are sourced. Chef Enrico Crippa personally picks vegetables, herbs and flowers from his vegetable garden, where over 400 rare ancient varietals are grown organically. All the preparations boast great attention to quality as well as an unparalleled journey for your palate, based on his extraordinary cooking techniques emphasising colours, temperatures and textures. Dishes are paired with wines on the basis of each guest’s personal taste.
