Under the arches of Piazza Michele Ferrero, the “living room” of Alba, the historical Caffè Umberto is now an informal bistro-winery, ideal for business lunches and gourmet dinners.

Luca, Daniela and Marco, the owners of Enoclub, have come up with a new proposal to complement their renowned restaurant: Caffè Umberto. A modern yet elegant establishment, it offers the opportunity to enjoy cosmopolitan cuisine seated at a table or at the bar, using only the highest quality, freshest ingredients. In addition to typical Langa dishes, the menu also features tasty offerings from the Mediterranean culinary tradition: seasonal vegetables, slowly leavened breads, lean meats and fresh fish.

Caffè Umberto’s stunning dining room is dominated by a large circular table, a temperature-controlled glass cube housing the best vintages of fine local wines, and a visible wine cellar that occupies the entrance wall, inlaid with olive wood. During the warmer months, tables are set outside, in the famous square that symbolizes the city.

Caffè Umberto is a veritable showcase of taste, where guests can savour genuine cuisine, the result of constant experimentation and the pursuit of excellence, in the enchanting setting of Alba’s historical centre.
