Guido’s was opened in 1960 in Costigliole d’Asti by Guido Alciati and his wife Lidia. The idea was very simple, but unusual at the time: a new, modern restaurant which would offer a style of cuisine that was firmly rooted in tradition and the seasonality of ingredients. Today their sons Ugo and Piero Alciati are following in their parent’s footsteps in the beautiful Fontanafredda Estate, in Serralunga, with the Restaurant Guido located in the Royal Villa, where the seasonal cooking of days gone by is presented with the great skill that has made it one of the most celebrated Michelin star restaurants in the area and won it major plaudits.
