In Costigliole d’Asti, between the Langhe and Monferrato hills, ICIF - Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners offers professionals from all over the world an education in Italian cuisine - recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Founded in 1991, ICIF – Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners – is the first Italian organisation dedicated to international training in cuisine and oenology. Since 1997, the institute has been based in the prestigious Castle of Costigliole d’Asti, where history and innovation come together in professional kitchens, tasting rooms and the Orangerie, a structure made entirely of glass and metal, dedicated to contemporary culinary education.
Today, ICIF welcomes students from more than fifty countries, offering professional programmes in Italian cuisine, pastry, service, hospitality, ice-cream, pizza, coffee culture and food-and-wine pairing. With state-of-the-art classrooms, tasting spaces and a faculty of industry professionals, ICIF shares the value of authentic Italian cuisine with the world, promoting quality, authenticity and hospitality, along with a knowledge of what “Made in Italy” really means. In addition to professional courses, the institute also offers cooking classes, themed workshops, and team-building activities designed for companies and groups.
