Cuor di Nocciola delle Langhe was founded in Cravanzana, in the Alta Langa area, by the Robaldo family, who have decades of experience in processing this precious gem, the Langhe Hazelnut.
In Cravanzana, known in Piedmontese dialect as the “Pais dra Nisora” (the town of the hazelnut), in the Alta Langa area, amidst hazelnuts and woodland, is Cuor di Nocciola delle Langhe, founded by Giovanni Robaldo, who, with dedication and love for his land, established the business in 1920, purchasing fields to cultivate this prized product. With time, the work carried out with passion and perseverance bore fruit, allowing Cuor di Nocciola delle Langhe to grow and expand, until today: thanks to the enthusiasm and know-how of Barbara, Marco, Andrea and Alberto, in addition to the cultivation of hazelnuts, the dream of processing them has been fulfilled, with their transformation into excellent and strictly organic products.
The hazelnut grove owned by the family lies just a stone's throw from the production facility and extends over a total of 14 hectares, all of which can be explored by following the guided path that winds its way through the trees, created especially to show guests the authenticity and beauty of working in contact with nature in the Alta Langa. The experience is unique and special for young and old alike, who, listening to the bleating of the goats in charge of "mowing" the grass, can walk around and discover lots of interesting facts about processing of the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe hazelnut: from tending the plants to harvesting the fruit, from drying to the production of roasted hazelnuts, hazelnut paste and delicious cream spreads.
